  1. King William’s men were paid on a hill here belonging to Mr. James Wray [?]. After that the hill was called Cash Hill. In course of time the whole townland came to be called Cashel.
    Alla.
Alla is supposed to be the townland of the Andersons. They were supposed to have come over during the Plantation of Ulster and settled down in Alla. The child, Florence Anderson, who brought this information could not find out how it came to be called Alla.
    Ardeelin.
This is another townland near Alla and Cashel. It means the height of the seagulls. The seagulls fly very high about this place.
