    There is a ruined monastery in the district. It is in a field belonging to Mr. Patterson (Main St. Ballyshannon) in the townland of Carricknahorna.
    Up to a few months ago there was an old arch of it standing. It wasn’t plundered or burned. The arch was covered with ivy.
