  1. It was held in the open; writing was done on slates and they had a blackboard. Irish was not taught.
    May could not find out the teacher’s name. He went to a different child’s home every night where he was fed and got a bed to sleep in.
    The above school was held on Mr. James Mc Phelini’s [?] hill, Tullymore, Ballyshannon.
