   When there is a ring near the moon it is the sign of rain.
   When there is a great many stars in the sky it is the sign of frost, and when there are only a few stars to be seen it is the sign of bad weather.
   When the sun is red going down in the evening it is the sign of good weather
   When the sea-gulls are seen flying low it is the sign of rain. When the cat begins to scrape it is a sure sign of big wind.
   When the dog lies near the fire it is the sign of a storm, or to see a dog eating grass either.
   If the crane is seen in the river it is the sign of rain.
   Red clouds in the sky at sunset is a sure sign of a storm.
   When the soot starts to fall it is a sure sign of rain.
   When the smoke goes out of the chimney straight it is a sign of fine weather, and
