I remember of a story being told by some of the men of the village in which I live in. It was a cold Winter's night about two years ago, as they sat at the fire. This is how the story was told.
Some years ago there were two people working in a field which is close by the River Brosn[?]. They were digging mould for potatoes in the month of June. It happened that one of them hit something hard with his spade. He called his companion beside him to look at what he discovered. There sat a small pot of gold. He immediately caught hold of a lovely pot-hooks which was attached to the pot. As he was just about to left the pot, he looked around to see if there was anybody watching him, and the pot disappeared. He still held the pot-hooks in his hands. He brought it home that day to his house. A man having heard of his discovery came to his house, and bought the golden pot-hooks at a very good price. That man lived happy for the rest of his life.
