  1. I live in the townland of Croughville in the parish of Carron. In the Barony of Burn and in the County of Clare. It is called Croughville because it got its name from a caste which is quite near the place. This castle is behind Micheal Kerins house. It is now nearly knocked to the ground. It was called Croughville Castle
My house is a slated house . In this district nearly all the houses are slated ones. There are not many OLd people who can speak Irish around this district.
