    that there is a tunnel connecting it with Shandangan fort.
    The Danes are supposed to have built these forts as forts of defence and it is generally believed that they used them later as burial places.
    Fairy people are supposed to live in them,and most people are afraid to even break, a twig in a fort .They say misfortune always follows if they are meddled with in any way.
    Lights are said to have been seen in Drumullen fort and old people say beautiful music has often been heard ,there at night .Abiut twenty five ot thirty years ago ,an old man and his wife were setting out for Limerick market (with butter and eggs)on donkey and car.'Twas about 3 :30 or 4 am. They saw a ship cross Rathluby lake from direction of DrumullenFortnear "Glouscester's Well" it left the lake and sailed up the road towards Ballyroughan.
