    heard them and ran towards the den. As she was going into the den the boy outside caught her by the tail and held her. The boy inside shouted "What stopped the light?" The boy outside said "Well then if the tail goes you'll know what stopped the light."

  2. There was a man and a woman long ago and the woman always bossed the man and made him her slave. On the 1st of May one year she ordered her husband to go up to the fort that night at twelve o'clock with her to leave food for the fairies. So he thought of a plan to frighten her. During the day he went up to the fort and tied the branch of a tall tree on to a stick in the ground. When twelve o'clock came they went to the fort. The woman hung the basket with the food in it on the branch and as she did her husband cut the cord and the branch flew up and she fainted because she thought it was fairy guardian were minding the fort. She called her husband to save her and promised
