- (ar lean ón leathanach roimhe)lived alone. He kept his money in a canister on the dresser. One day his doctor told him he should go to hospital. While he was there his friends heard how his heart was gone. When he came home they asked him to know if it were true how his "heart was gone."
"Wisha no" said the old man "if I know anything 'tis the heart of my canister is gone. - Once there were two neighbouring boys who knew where there was a bear's den. They planned to go and watch the mother bear go out and then go in and steal a few of the cubs. They both went on the evening appointed to steal the little bears. They saw the old bear go off in search of food and then ran down to the den. One of the boys preferred to go into it and told the other to keep away from the mouth of the den so that he would have light to choose the bears. After a while when the boy was catching the bears they began to screech and the mother(leanann ar an chéad leathanach eile)
