- (continued from previous page)till "The Green" ran with milk to the cow's knees. She ran away then and brought her calves along with her towards the sea. A blacksmith followed her, and as she was going into the sea, he struck her with a rod of enchantment and turned her into stone. There was until recently and perhaps still is, a flat flagstone on 'The Green' with the track of the cow's knees on it.
