  1. There is a box of gold in Knockbride Lake*. When the Danes were going to destroy the Old Church of Knockbride the clergyman of the Church got an oak box and put the gold into it so as to keep the Danes from getting it. He brought it down to the lake and dropped it in to the water near the Church.
    There is hidden treasure under Mr Bennie Nesbitt's house. Sally Litten who lived in the house about fifty years ago (lived) had eighty sovereigns in a cannister. She had a hole in the bedroom floor
