  1. There are two forges in the parish. The smiths are Mr James Murray, and Mr Pat Rooney. Mr Pat Rooney is only being a smith for four years but Mr James Murray has being a smith for nine years. One of the forges is in the town and the second one is a mile from the town. Mr Pat Rooney's forge is at a crossroads. The forge is an old shed with anvil for beating out the iron. The roof is slated as iron roofs get burned with coal.
