    If you have a sore throat put a black stocking around it and it will cure it.
    If you had a cough get two table spoons of whole flax seed and put it into a saucepan and leave it simmering until it gets into jelly, then strain it and add sugar and the white of two eggs and the juice of a lemon and out it down to swimmer for five minutes. Then lift it and leave it to cool. When cold take two teaspoons twice a day.
    If you had a wart get a snail and rub the snail on it twice a day.
    If you had a pain in your stomach take a good glass of hot milk and pepper.
    If you had a toothache put pepper into it and it will cure it.
