    Féilí na Bliadhna.
Some of the customs that are carried on in the district of Ennistymon are:-
On St Stephen's Day ,boys dress up in fancy clothes and go from house to house playing music and dancing.Sometimes they say this:-
"The wren ,the wren ,the king of all birds,
St.Stephen's Day was caught in the furze,
Up with the kettle and down with the pan,
Please give us a penny to bury the wren.
On Shrove Tuesday night it is a custom in Ennistymon to make pan cakes. On St John's Night there is a bon- fire lit in every street in the town of Ennistymon. All the people of each street gather around their bon -fire ,dance and sing.
