  1. Some herbs destroy land while others improve it. The names of the herbs which improve land are dandelion, foxgloves and young nettles. If young nettles are boiled and if the water is drunk rheumatism and gout are cured. If a st[r]ained garment is boiled with ivy leaves, the water takes the stains away. Garlic is a great cure for chest troubles. Here-hound cures bronchitis and all kinds of colds.
