  1. In January 1936 the lightning caused great damage in Inagh Church and a priest's house. The lightning damaged the Church by Knocking the stones of the tower and throwing some very heavy stones quite a distance from the Church. There was terrible thunder and lightning for hours. It was very loud, angry and unusual. It lighted up the country and the sky so far as one could see.
