  1. The Ban Shidhe is also heard when some people dies. Especially the people with "O" before their name. One night there was a wake in a house and just at twelve o'clock the Bean Shidhe was heard at the gable end of the house and the Protestant wanted to see what kind she was as he had heard many stories before about her. He only went outside the door when he returned and after a few days he got sick and never got better until he died.
