Many old people have ol customs and this is one which I heard. When new houses are being occupied many old people bring into the house an egg and a pinch of salt in a paper before any thing else is brought in and it is said that it is lucky.

Many years ago Brien Boru was coming home from the battle of Sologhead.

Many years ago Brien Boru was coming home from the battle of Sologhead. When he was passing a well not far from the town of Tipperary, he washed his wounds in it and it dried up.
There was also another well up in the Slieve Muc mountains and a woman washed her feet in it and it also dried up.
