    I. That in ancient times there were four stones like it in Ireland _ one in each province

    II That it was erected to commemorate the visit of St. Corrigain from Cashel to the Abbey in Magoury. The old road from Cashel (no closed) came out on the Ballylusky_Lismornan road just beside it. Can still be seen _ a boreen overgrown with weeds
