    she was never without a few pigs for sale too. I often heard my Grandmother talk about her. One day a man came to her and said "I will give you 50/= for that pig". "No", she said, "I won't give it to you for a penny less than £2-10-0".
    There were also many stalls there for the sale of home-made jam, cake, buns, cooked fish and also dairy produce. A platform used to be erected and many girls from the school used to sing on it. The one who would sing the most songs would get a cock and a hen as a prize.
