    It seems old O'Donnell was a cobbler by trade. "Ormsby is dead" said the coach-man. One version is that Ormsby died a sudden death, another is that during the night a mad cat tore his throat. Tradition says he is buried in the old church in Dromin churchyard and up to lately people threw stones into the cave where he is buried or as it is known locally "Ormsbys Hole".
    A poem tells of the event also :-
    I
    My castle walls are strong I trow,
    And long shall wear their stately seeming
    It's flowery lawns, its fountains gay
    And sweet the Morning Star is gleaming
    And far around the Tullerboy
    The face of nature's half Elysian
    But Earthen walls no more shall mar
    The radiance of Aurora's vision
    II
    Go quickly tell that cottier clown
    That he must seek some other shielding
    Before the morrow's sun goes down
    I care not where he finds a dwelling
    Tis done, the victim meets the blow
    With hoped that ever soothe our sorrow
    The Lord who sheltered yesterday
