    sixty years ago. Another in Thomastown and his name was James Coleman and another in Brideswell and his name was Brooks. My Grandfather when he would want a pair of boots would go to Brooks and take off his boot to get his foot measured and he would tell him when he would have them ready. They would be better than the ones we have now. About 6 per cent of the people wore clogs with wooden soles long ago and this was during the war when boots were very dear.
    There are no clogs worn now and there was no leather made in the district at any time.
