  1. My Home District (p95)
The name of my townland is Cornafulla and it is situated in the Parish of Drum and the Barony of south Athlone.
There are twelve families in my townland and about 60 people. The name most common is McManus.
The greater portion of the houses are small thatched ones. How my townland got its name is because in the olden times a great battle was fought in it and a lot of blood was shed, that is why it is called the place of blood. There are about nine old people in the townland.
