  1. There was a man living in Gour long ago. He was very ill, and he told someone to send for Máire Ní Mhurchadha. This was a woman that was living in Eyeries Beg. It was said that when she was young she was brought away in the fairies and she stayed in them. She had the power to work charms.
When she came to the man that was dying she told him that his cure was in his father's grave. She said to get the strongest man around that would go with her into the grave. They got John Hanley Urhan, and they went to the grave about midnight.
When she was working the charm something came against her and she told the man to take her out of the grave. He took her on his lap, and took her down to some stable in Castletown. She stayed there until bright day. She was vomating through the night. The dying man got better, for it was she that suffered his share. That is about eighty years ago.
