  1. A Song

O me name is Pat from Sweet Tralee. ¶ I went on tramp the other day.

O me name is Pat from Sweet Tralee.
I went on tramp the other day.
And I spied a maid all on my way
As I came into Gowran. Her cheeks were like the blooming rose.
Her eyes they were as black as sloes.
She was the fairest maid could be composed.
They called her the Star of Gowran.
I said young maid if you'll agree & kindly come along with me
We'll join our hands in unity
And take a house in Gowran.
