  1. Dick Whittingtons Mother and Father died when he was a young boy. He had a cat which he loved. He set off one morning to seek his fortune with his cat. When he walked about eight miles he saw a house he went in and asked for food when it was eaten he went on till he met another house he asked for some food and milk for his cat. When he got it he set off on a boat for London when he landed a guard guided him to the Lord Mayor's house where he was received kindly after his tea he was sent off,
