  1. There is a weed named Marsh Mallow & Hemlock & Rib grass. This is a cure for sores on legs. Chop the weeds up & boil in lard without water for four or five hours. Boil the lard is quite green strain off in a jar & cover down. Then get a strip of old linen & spread the ointment on it when cold & apply to sores, twice a day, morning & evening.
    Laurel Leaves boiled in a little water & lard will cure bad burns or scalds.
    Tansey is another weed of a greyish colour if boiled in milk gives a whiter complexion.
