  1. A man named Mr McGarty lived in Gowran about thirteen years ago. It is said he used to make songs and rhymes. He made the song of "I will meet you at the Party tonight. He died at seventy-two.
    A man named Mr Mullins he was a poet & he made the song of "Record of the men of Erin". He was a very good poet & was known all over Kilkenny.
