  1. Local Marriages Custome
    6-7-38
The unlucky days for getting married are Friday and Saturday. Wednesday is a lucky day for marriage, and June is one of the year. It is a custom on Co Kilkenny to make matches. If a girl was getting married to a farmer her parents would give her a dowry or fortune.
