    It would have been well for Byrne if he had taken his advice, but he did not and Ring put on the shoes again. Byrne rode off towards Graignamanagh where he took part in the Abduction.

  2. On the back of Furlong's and Kavanagh's houses in Tinnacarrig there are the ruins of an old church and churchyard.
    One of the Kavanaghs cut a bush of the wall of the churchyard. He got a prick of the bush in the eye and had to go to the hospital where his eye had to be taken out and a glass eye put in.
