  1. There is a bush in Miss Lalor's Sluis field. the following story is told about this bush.
    One day Nanny Ryan had no sticks to boil a pot. She got some of the men to cut down some of this bush and bring it into her for firing.
    When Nanny put a piece of the bush in the fire it would not burn. Next morning some of the men went out to the field to get an other peice of the bush but it was grown the same as if it were never cut.
    No one would touch this bush because there must be some enchantment around it.
