    On Saint Stephen's day it was a custom for the Irish to go around and ask money to bury the wren.
    This is the peom they used to say.
    "The Wren, the wren the King of all birds. Saint Stephen's day was caught in the furze
    Up with the kettle and down with the pan give us three half pence to bury the wren.
    All silver no brass bad half-pence cannot pass
    On Saint Patrick's day it is a custom for every person to wear a shamrock in their coats in honour of Saint Patrick.
    Saint Patrick was a Saint who brought the true faith to Ireland.
