    he brought to Sligo in a donkey-cart and sold them.
    Every time he was on these journeys he did not come home until next day and by this time he had half of his money spent drinking in a public house. He was very charitable and often shared half a loaf with his neighbours. He died at the advanced age of ninety-one much regretted by his neighbours.
    In Gleann there was an old woman named Ellen Mac Neill who wove flax for her neighbours. She died at the age of eighty-eight.
