    One of the local landlords was Brian Cooper. He was a fairly good landlord but he is now dead. If the poor people had not the money the day it was due he would give them till a certain day to have it paid. He gave the people free houses during the war.
    The landlord for Ardvarney and Ardagh was a man named Brinkley. He was not very hard on the people.
