- Emlymoran is the name of our village. Emlymoran means Moran's borderland.
It is situated a mile from the church and six miles from Ballina.
There are about twenty houses in it and about a hundred people. The houses are all slated. All the people are Catholics.
They are strong, hard working men and they get up early in the morning. The work very hard on the farm.
Every person has over twenty acres of land and it is very good hard. Most of them are married. They are all farmers. There is only one shop in it.(continues on next page)
