- The stable is nearly always situated near the manure-heap. The people say that it is not lucky to build the cow-house on the track of a manure-heap. A cow-house or a pig-house built on a path is not lucky, for everything that is put in it will die. Feet of any animal that dies in the house are hung up on the couples to keep the rest from dying.
It is not right to hit any growing thing with a bog-tree because they will never grow any bigger. A cure for the cough is to chop up garlic and give it to the animal in milk.(continues on next page)- Collector
