  1. Animals at Home
    The names of our five cows are - Bawney, The Magpie, Big Black, Grey Cow and the Yellow Cow.
    When calling the cows we say "Procai Procai". When they fight we say "Harsh Harsh". When calling the hens we say "Cioc Cioc". To call the ducks we say "Wheety Wheety".
    The turkeys "Pin Pin".
    The geese "Gei Gei".
    A horse is called by saying "Peo Peo".
    An ass "Dandy Dandy".
    A goat "Minnie Minnie".
    A Pig "Hurish Hurish".
    The sheep "Shouney Shouney"
    The calves "Suckie Suckie".
    In the byre the cows are tied around the necks with a chain which are on an iron gads. A Sacred Heart badge, a branch of blessed palm and some Holy Water is kept in the byre to bring luck on the stock.
    When finished milking, the sign of the cross is made on the cow's leg, with a little of the milk in order to prevent the fairies bringing away the milk.
