    Garlic is sown on Good Friday between three and four o'clock. And lifted between the two Lady Days.
    On the Eve of the Epiphany of Our Lord twelve rush candles are go and lighted the Rosary is being said by they of the house Everyone picks a candle for himself or herself. The owner of the first candle that burns out will die first.
    On St. Stephen's Day the young people go out to gather the wren money and they sing and dance. Five or six of them go together. Some of them bring fiddles and two or so of them dance and more of them sing.
    Up with the kettle,
    And down with the pan,
    A penny or three halfpence
    To bury the wren.
    They go from house to house.
    When the day is over they go to some one of their houses and divide the money equally among themselves.
