8. There are three parts in a churn the staves, bottom and hoops. The hoops are made of iron. My mother does the churning. If any people come in when we are churning they generally take a brash. The reason they take a brash is to put good luck on the churning. It is churned with the hands in this locality and the dash is worked up(leanann ar an chéad leathanach eile)
