  1. I live in the townland of Lisgavneen in the parish of Killargue and in the Barony of Dromahair. There are ten families in it. The population of it is fifty. The reason it is called Lisgavneen is it was the fort of the smiths. The family name most common here is Harkin. There were four families of the Harkins long ago but now it is left between the names O Briens Cullen, and Feeney. There is a good stone-wall thatched and scalloped house on each farm. There are two old persons in the townland. Their names are James Cullen and John Feeney. they live in the townland of Lisgavneen Drumkeerin and in the parish of Killargue. There are lots of spring-wells in this townland.
