The ground is drained and is scored with a loy the manure is spread in the centre of the ridges. The ridges are three feet wide. There are seeds dropped on the manure and the two sods are turned in on the seeds with a instrumemt called a loy. The two sods meet together overhead and there is clay put up on the ridge.
