  1. Fairs are held in towns cities and villages. They are always held in the local towns monthly. Buyers often transacted their business in the country at cross-roads and at farmers houses and it is still done. The local fairs were held formerly in the same places as they are held now. There are no local traditions of fairs held on hills in the neighbourhood of cemeteries or at castles. The town fair is held in the streets and in a square called the fair green. Toll is paid on the cattle in the local towns.
