  1. I live in the parish of Killargue and in the County Leitrim. There is a holy well in this parish. This well is called after a Saint named Arguill. It is situated about one hundred yards from the main road leading from Drumkeerin to Manorhamilton. This well is visited by hundreds of people on Lady's Day 15th August. Three Our Fathers and three Hail Marys are said three times and three visits are made taking a small drink of the holy water after making each visit. Cures are sometimes got from this well. There is a fairly large white-thorn bush growing on one side of it. When leaving each person leaves a medal or money or some token behind.
