    Quinlan lived at Annacarty...

Quinlan lived at Annacarty where he had a snug farm. He was a strong farmer by all accounts. He was evicted & turned out a highway man. He swore he'd shoot every one that had hand, act or part in evicting him & every one who grabbed a sod of his land. He shot seven of them in all & escaped every time. You couldn't escape him. He came down the chimney to shoot one man. He entered a porty by a side window one night & shot another of the men he had the vendetta against. He was arrested a few times but overpowered his guard & got off.
