- (ar lean ón leathanach roimhe)Kilteevan vales and lovely groves,
Are decked in mourning lays,
On the death of Mr May-Potter,
Alas was called away.

Ah yes! cruel death called him away,
From his sweet Kilteevan home,
To join the blest, who are at rest,
Within God's Holy throne.

That voice is still forever more,
That once was clear and fair,
Oh how we miss brave Master Tom
From many a vacant chair.
IV
He was too good on earth to stay,
And the stainless life he led,
Has won for him a crown of glory,
Although today he's dead.
V
And in Kilteevan's lovely church,
We see his vacant chair,
Where for the crown he wears to-day,
He knelt in silent prayer.
VI
And God who rules the world o'er.
