  1. There was a great thunder storm on the first of August in the year 1898. The storm held for one night and great lightning came in between. much damage was done; horses cows and sheep were killed.
    Houses and trees was felled also. Boats and ships were tossed about in the sea. People were killed in Kerry
    The signs of storms are when dry hard weather is there when the sky is red and when the goats come down form the hill.
