  1. Fields are called the Orchard Field. because there was an orchard there one time. The Furze Brake because it was always full of furze. The Kiln Field because there is an old lime kiln in the centre of it. Crosses Grove, because a man by the name of Crosse owned and planted it: the Brick Yard, because bricks were made there at one time. The Iron Mines, is a district so called because there was an iron foundry there one time.
    The Navigation is a road that runs beside an old canal which at one time
