  1. A man by the name of Mr Sheehan was washing sheep in the river Blackwater He went in swimming, got a cramp, in the water and he was drowned.
    Mr Purcell's house on the wood-road was burned but no person lost his life. It was never definitely known what caused the fire. It was burned in 1915 or so -
