  1. Hags
    An old hag named Biddy Early dwelt in Feakle in the County of Clare and she did a lot of fortune telling. Any person that interfered with her or her business she worked evil on them. Any person that wanted to learn "phwishoquery" they went to her and gave them the directions. There was once a man in this parish and he had two valuable heifers on a mountain and they went astray and were lost for three months. In vain he searched for them on the mountain. So he made up his mind that he would go to Biddy Early. So he went to her and as soon as he arrived at the door she said to him. "Poor man you did not come in time. The two cattle that you were searching for for the last three months you may not be troubled about them any more A butcher slaughtered them between two hills on a mountain and sold them as beef in Limerick
