  1. Some few years ago a man from Lanmore saw a water dog in the river. He followed it up and suceeded in killing it with a hay fork. He sold its skin and got a high price for it.
    One winter that there was big snow two water-dogs were seen. They were chased by a pack of dogs, but they got under the ice and escaped.
